Dr. Bakre is a cell biology and cell signalling veteran with over 25 years of experience in research and technology in India, the US, and Singapore. She founded OncoStem with the vision of developing and delivering innovative, cost-effective, and reliable tests for personalized cancer treatment planning. Previously, she worked in academia in the US at Mt Sinai School of Medicine, NYC, and Moores Cancer Center, UCSD, and at Genome Institute of Singapore. In India, she worked at Avesthagen and Philips Research. She has won many entrepreneurship-related awards and has many publications and patents to her name.
Chief Operating Officer
Satyanarayana Thallam brings over 31 years of extensive, cross-industry experience in IT and healthcare. As Chief Operating Officer at OncoStem Diagnostics, he drives operational excellence with a sharp focus on efficiency, performance, and stakeholder value. A results-oriented leader with an MBA in Finance & Marketing from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and a PMP certification, Satyanarayana has consistently led transformative initiatives—from scaling operations to entering new markets and implementing impactful organizational change.
Known for his transparent communication and strong ethical foundation, he has successfully led diverse teams across various functions. His deep business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset continue to fuel innovation and growth at OncoStem.
Lab Director
Dr. B. A. Savitha brings over 18 years of extensive experience in pathology, including more than 9 years in leadership as a Laboratory Director. Her core areas of expertise include Histopathology, Immunohistochemistry, and Quality Assurance. Deeply committed to advancing medical research, particularly in breast cancer, she has authored peer-reviewed publications in PubMed-indexed journals and co-authored scientific posters presented at the ESMO Breast Cancer Congress 2022.
Since August 2020, she has served as the Laboratory Director at OncoStem Diagnostics, where she leads a multidisciplinary team of pathologists, scientists, and technicians. Under her guidance, the laboratory has successfully renewed and maintained accreditations from the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), and ISO 13485.
She earned her MBBS from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Pathology from K J Somaiya Medical College & Research Centre, Mumbai. She also holds a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Pathology, awarded by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
